Copyright infringement notice
On this page
If a store built with Tanqory uses your work without permission, send us a notice under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act. This form asks for the six elements the law requires (17 U.S.C. 512(c)(3)), so your notice is complete the first time.
We confirm receipt within 2 business days. We usually act on clearly infringing material within 5 business days, and on contested notices within 10. The store is told and can send a counter-notice.
Before you send it, consider whether the use could be fair use. Anyone who knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing can be liable for damages (512(f)). We tell the store what we removed and why.
Your notice
After you send it
- Your notice reaches dmca@tanqory.com and legal@tanqory.com, and we confirm receipt within 2 business days. If an element is missing, we ask you once for it.
- If the notice is complete, we act on it, usually within 5 business days for clear cases and 10 for contested ones, and tell the store what we did and why.
- The store can send a counter-notice. If it does, we forward it to you within 2 business days and restore the material after 10 to 14 business days unless you tell us you have filed a court action.
- Accounts with repeated confirmed infringement are warned, suspended and then closed.
