Copyright counter-notice
On this page
If we removed or disabled your content after a copyright notice and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, you can ask us to restore it with a counter-notice under 17 U.S.C. 512(g)(3). This form asks for every element the law requires.
We forward your counter-notice, including your name and contact details, to the person who sent the original notice within 2 business days. We restore the material after 10 to 14 business days, unless they tell us they have filed a court action against you.
Only send a counter-notice if you are sure. Knowingly misrepresenting that material was removed by mistake can make you liable for damages (512(f)). If you are unsure, talk to a lawyer first.
