0) Corporate structure and scope
Tanqory PTE. LTD. (Singapore, UEN 202448997H) is the ultimate parent and holding company of the Tanqory group, including its wholly-owned subsidiaries Tanqory Inc. (Delaware, USA) and Tanqory OÜ (Estonia). Tanqory Inc. is the contracting entity and merchant of record for every product and service Tanqory sells to merchants and customers worldwide — Tanqory PTE. LTD. itself does not contract with, bill, or hold a direct customer relationship with any merchant or customer. This document is adopted by Tanqory PTE. LTD. as the group's holding company and applies group-wide, including to Tanqory Inc.'s and Tanqory OÜ's operations, unless a section below states a narrower scope.
1) Purpose and scope
Sets Tanqory’s environmental commitments for offices, data centers/cloud, supply chain, logistics, employee travel, events, and vendors. Applies to all employees/contractors; partners and suppliers must support relevant measures. Where local law is stricter, that standard prevails. Read with Code of Business Conduct, Procurement Policy, Travel Policy, Data Center/IT standards, and Data Retention. Updates communicated via durable medium (email/intranet).
2) Energy, carbon, and efficiency
- Measure and reduce energy and carbon across offices and infrastructure; set targets and track progress.
- Optimize data centers/servers/networks via virtualization/containerization, autoscaling, efficient design, and power-saving configurations.
- Monitor energy use (IT/office), set reduction goals, and favor renewable energy/certifications where feasible.
- Prefer virtual meetings; limit travel to business-critical needs and choose lower-carbon options; consider offsets per policy.
- Publish targets/metrics where required by law or stakeholders; avoid greenwashing.
- Work with key suppliers to share data and identify joint reduction opportunities.
3) Waste, water, and materials
- Reduce paper through digital workflows; default to double-sided/black-and-white printing when needed.
- Manage e-waste lawfully: inventory assets, extend life, refurbish/repair, dispose via authorized vendors.
- Provide waste/recycling separation points and clear guidance.
- Reduce single-use materials; prefer reusable/recyclable options and certified products (e.g., Energy Star, FSC).
- Track paper/consumables per employee and set annual reduction targets.
- Use water-saving fixtures and promote responsible use.
- Maintain records of proper disposal per Retention Policy and legal requirements.
4) Green procurement
- Include environmental criteria in procurement (renewable energy, certifications, sustainable packaging, repairability).
- Use RFP/contract clauses with environmental requirements and audit rights for higher-risk suppliers.
- Score ESG/environmental factors in vendor evaluations alongside price.
- Avoid suppliers with significant environmental violations or inadequate waste/pollution controls.
- Support local/small/sustainable suppliers when viable.
- Review high-risk materials (e.g., conflict minerals) and require evidence/mitigation.
- Set environmental KPIs for key suppliers and review periodically; define remedies/termination rights for material breaches.
5) Sustainable travel and workplaces
- “Virtual first” to reduce travel; when traveling, choose lower-carbon options (public transport/direct flights/carbon policy).
- Prefer venues/accommodations with environmental standards (e.g., green building certifications) when feasible.
- Encourage low-carbon commuting (public transit/bikes/carpool) and consider local benefits where appropriate.
- Design offices for efficiency (energy/water), natural light/ventilation; set reasonable temperature/lighting guidelines.
- Provide recycling points and reduce single-use plastics in offices; provide EV/charging points where appropriate.
- Track business travel/office energy to calculate and reduce emissions; provide sustainable event guidance.
6) Governance, targets, and reporting
- Assign policy owners (ESG/Facilities/IT/Procurement) with governance reporting to leadership/board.
- Set measurable targets (e.g., energy per employee reduction, carbon baseline) and review periodically.
- Track KPIs: energy per employee, business-travel emissions, e-waste, recycling rates, paper/consumables.
- Report performance at least annually to leadership and externally when required by law/customers/investors.
- Integrate environmental risk into ERM/business planning; update measures when new tech/opportunities arise.
- Keep evidence/records per Retention Policy and legal requirements.
7) Communication, training, and engagement
- Communicate policy, goals, and progress regularly via email/intranet/meetings.
- Train relevant roles (IT/Facilities/Procurement/Travel/Admin) on environmental measures and practices.
- Engage employees via campaigns (energy/plastic reduction, paperless days) and invite ideas; support impactful projects.
- Provide checklists for events/travel/procurement; maintain feedback channel at esg@tanqory.com.
- Consider recognition where appropriate; measure engagement (participation/ideas adopted/results) and improve plans continuously.
8) Updates and notices
- Material changes to this policy will be posted at https://legal.tanqory.com with the effective date/version and, where appropriate, announced via email/intranet or dashboard before taking effect. The latest dated version controls; statutory obligations still apply.
